![]() ![]() Going by the TriDef 3D Ignition/driver that gives 60Hz - 30 frames per eye.īut there are nvidia users that have tried anyway but the shadows make the experience really bad for nvidia 3D drivers.īest bet is to purchase a TriDef 60Hz certified monitor or tv, i'm sticking with nvidia 3D Vision or else it becomes too expensive for 3D gaming, meh!, hahaha!. With nvidia 3D Vision you need a certified monitor and they are usually 120Hz DVI-I or DVI-D or just DVI, - 120Hz (120 frames) 60Hz per eye- 60 frames per eye. ![]() So this is probably why they chose TriDef 3D over nvidia 3D because of the YETI game engine components are limited to a maximum of 60 frames per second, nvidia requires a certified display capable of 120Hz (60Hz or frames per eye with the shutter glasses and infrared emitter built in or seperate. Beyond the notebook’s unique 3D capabilities, the Aspire 5738DG provides HD entertainment with a host of high-performance features. It is apparently a YETI game engine component limitation to max 60 frames per second (60Hz) 60 frames. Customers can use the TriDef Media Player for playback of videos and photos in 3D, while the TriDef Ignition tool to enables 2D to 3D conversion for games and applications supporting DirectX 9 and above. ![]() Maybe i didn't fully understand it but according to the sticky bug here at the PC GRFS forum the YETI game engine has a maximum framerate of 60 frames per second (although in game play with a framerate counter running in the background i have seen a max of 63 fps. I also came across a thread/post by who stated on their official forums that nvidia 3D certified monitors are not a supported comfiguration for TriDef 3D, i can't link to the topic/disscussion right now because the nvidia forums are going through maintenance/repairs. I dont think it gives any specific advantages, just an enhanced experience. I like to use 3D alot, but I wouldnt use it without it being cleared first (or else I would be an idiot). Just a simple thread asking if SOE can clear TriDef.
